Dr Miriam Mikicki Functional and Integrative Medical Doctor

Dr Miriam Mikicki is a qualified GP and IFM Functional Medicine Doctor with further international clinical placements at renowned institutions in the US, Japan and China. She trained in Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy at the renowed American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M).

With a keen interest in health and well-being from a young age, she was born in the United States to doctor parents, themselves practitioners of integrative medicine since the early 90s. Her interest in foreign languages and traditional Chinese culture led her to travels and study in China, including exposure to TCM. She then further studied for a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Culture and Economics from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.

In 2015, she became an IFMCP certified practitioner following her training at the Institute of Functional Medicine, and has also completed training in Frequency Specific Microcurrent and HeartMath® biofeedback therapies.

Dr Miriam's special interests are in gut health, skin, mood, and neurological issues, and she is trained in the Walsh Nutrient biochemical approach to mental health, and the Bredesen Recode program. She combines a Western and traditional Chinese medical approach to health and wellbeing.

Dr. Mikicki serves as a medical advisor for AcuIntegra wellness clinics in the USA and she is a keen traveler, yoga and fitness enthusiast and foodie. She is fluent in English, Polish and Mandarin.

GMC registered, she is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Institute of Functional Medicine, Frequency Specific Microcurrent Practitioners, A4M and AAAM (Aesthetic Medicine).

Dr. Preet Chana Functional Medicine Doctor

Dr. Preet qualified from The University of Birmingham in 2013. She has been an NHS hospital doctor for 8 years and has spent her time working in various medical specialties including acute internal medicine, diabetes and general medicine in the Yorkshire region. Alongside 2 years training in psychiatry.

 

She has had a longstanding and keen interest in nutrition and holistic health throughout her career, and is a member of The Yorkshire Wellness Group.

She completed Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) training with the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) in 2018. She is passionate about looking for root causes of symptoms, health optimization and empowering patients to take control of their own health and wellbeing.
